Our nurses, along with our state-of-the-art radiology machine, are able to obtain excellent diagnostic radiographs (x-rays) on patients from the size of a 2 pound puppy to a 200 pound Great Dane. Additionally, our doctors and nurses are capable of providing an array of contrast studies of various organ systems. These include but are not limited to the upper and lower gastro-intestinal system, kidneys, ureters and bladder. We also offer myelograms (contrast studies of the spinal cord) with a mobile surgeon.
An electrocardiogram (ECG) records the heart’s electrical activity and is used to measure and diagnose abnormal rhythms of the heart. Our hospital has two ECG machines that we use during anesthesia, trauma or when an abnormal rhythm of your pet’s heart is heard by our doctors. Additionally, we are able transmit the ECG, along with your pet’s history and chest x-rays to a board-certified cardiologist to obtain immediate guidance when needed.
