Barks at Briargate

Title Sponsor

Our hospital was once again the proud title sponsor of the 5th  annual Bark at Briargate event  this August 21, 2010. We enjoyed meeting with our local community and sharing what makes us one of the leading small animal hospitals in Colorado Springs.  As usual, we outfitted visiting dogs with bandannas and handed out treats for the dogs (the homemade frosty paws were a hit) and their families.  A warm welcome to all the new clients that we were able to schedule appointments for.  We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Dr. Kaufer presents at Senior Key

Services

On April 15th, Dr. Kaufer and Sheri Gibson, a psychologist and UCCS doctoral candidate, gave a presentation to the Silver Key Services. The topic was "Appreciating the Role of Pets in the Lives of Older Adults".  There was a good turnout and a lot of interest in this sometimes forgotten issue.  If you are in need of resources specifically for older adults, please contact us at 282-3443.  We are happy to give you a complete resource list.

SFAH First Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest

Thank you to all of our many clients that participated in judging our first annual pumpkin carving competition.  Our staff divided up into four teams and let their creativity do the work.
Congratulations to Tanya and Jill who won our contest.
